Redesign the Holga 120N.
The Challenge
Holga cameras have a boxy and traditional look compared to the Instax mini, the most popular film camera of this time. How can Holga play with shapes to update their image?

What is the Holga 120N?
Designed by Lee Ting Mo in 1982
It's goal was to to provide the Chinese working class with cameras.
Known and loved for its faults, vignettes, light leaks, and inexpensiveness.
Playful with the CMF, but not the camera body.

I made very quick models of my two favorite designs to be able to hold them, and physically see what can be improved.

A lot of this was go with the flow and trust the process.
Learned to use many techniques like a band sander to take off the extra cardboard.
I made templates and layered them on top of each other to create volume.

Make a functional model where the components fit.
